First of all. I love this podcast. I don’t listen to other podcasts so thanks. I sold my ‘97 and regretted it ever since. I’m going back to a Cummins diesel for a truck camper. The thing that is great about this episode is that most info is failures related to putting more power on the truck. For those of us that want a reliable stock truck, this is really helpful. I can buy a 5th gen but may go 4th gen. Thank YOU!

I just bought a 6.0 for the chassis and drivetrain. Im putting a dentside cab on it. I was told the truck sat 7 years because it wouldn't start. I hooked a jump pack, and it fired tight up. I can't believe it didn't start. Make sure you have a qualified repair center work on your vehicle. I'd like to see Nic Roethlisberger on your podcast. He has a series on his channel where he put a dentside body on a 6.0 chassis.

EPA can go get fucked. I refuse to leave a piece of equipment on my LBZ that will ultimately vastly reduce it's longevity. Thankfully we have tuners to the north that can give the EPA the finger. They may have lost the right to own guns and protect themselves, had their free speech put on a leash, have a government that can freeze their bank accounts if they have a different ideology, but they damn sure can still delete their trucks!

Any pistons for the 2005 T1N Sprinter van? Mines a baby at 190,000. I'm keeping it long-term and would like to rebuild a better engine.

I been using Valvoline premium blue 10w30 works the best, my 6.7 Cummings engine loves it change it every 5000 miles

Curious on the 6.3 method. As far as I know the 6.0 and 6.4 are the same stroke, with a larger bore being the difference. Are the cranks offset ground and a smaller rod journal used?

I can only guess that I’m between 250-300hp. Plenty for my purpose. HX35, intercooled, high flow intake, quadstar eprom, 4” straight pipe. Currently running 15-22lbs under 800egt’s , zero smoke. That quadstar chip is really dialed in well. Currently commuting an hour to work at 70mph and it has no issue jumping up to 90mph with a lot more in it when I let off.

Theres no DEF on government vehicles.

I personally own a 6.4 its my favorite platform. It has the tech comparable to the 6.7s and the ease of working on a 6.0 combined. Heres the damn truth. 6.4s had no more problems than the similar year Dmax, and cummins. Mahle cheaped out on casting process. ( seriously im not kidding, look it up ) all of them cracked pistons. I personally put 15k$ into my 6.4 and blue printed the motor completely. Even redesigned the cooling system and oil system. My truck runs 1200whp and gets 16mpg city 22mpg hwy at 80mph with a 8in lift.

I've used T6 in my Ram Ecodiesel for 175,000 miles. UOA at every 10k change always shows Aluminum, chromium and Iron very low. Ecodiesel bearings have silver, always showed 0ppm. Dropped the pan at 170,000 miles and clean as a whistle. Use in all my vehicles.

The EPA should warranty EVERY SINGLE TRUCK that has issues revolving around these forced emissions BS.... I mean what else are they doing with all these fines.. I know mother nature isn't getting a check or money thrown in the air to magically fix their false concerns on climate bs... So what about the double standard of military / county (etc) trucks not even coming with emissions... because they're not reliable enough?? ohhh... ya

Oil Additives have no warranty unlike engine oils. The manufacturers of oil additives are under no obligation to compensate you if they send a bad product out the door.

I’m curious if anyone has tested a vehicle that has been deleted and tuned to see if it may be burning cleaner then it was before being deleted.

there has been little to no innovation s far as alternatives to DEF, DPFs and EGR they have been stuck on it for near 20 yrs........and improving it... but theres no move AWAY from it... im gonna get the cummins gas if it comes

Very good episode. As I close in on buying my first diesel pickup, at the old age of 52, I know what I want...but the more I'm learning about the 6.0s the more I like them. A King Ranch or Harley Davidson trim would definitely be on the table. Always been a 7.3 guy, but driven a 6.0, 6.4, and 6.7 (both Powerstroke and Cummins). Zero experience with a Duramax. The 6.0s have me intrigued.
